The Irish Military War Museum and Military History club invite you to join us on the 13th and 14th September for the World War One Experience. To mark the anniversary of The Great War, we’re giving you the chance to experience what life was really like in the trenches.
Over the course of the weekend, witness the conditions, the uniforms, the food and the lifestyle for a soldier in WWI. With living history displays and battles to bring the stories to life, visitors will get a sense of the sounds, smells and confusion of small scale unit actions.
Not only that, there will be talks about the uniforms and weapons of the French, British and German armies.
World War One will be the main focus of the weekend, but there will also be information and battles from World War Two and other periods.
Ir promises to be a family friendly and very interactive weekend, so come along to the World War One Experience and don’t be shy!
